My series character Milan Jacovich is named after a real Clevelander, dentist Milan Yacovich, who kindly has allowed me to use his name all these years. To celebrate the 2005 rerelease of the first nine of my Milan Jacovich novels, Cleveland mayor Jane Campbell declared June 17 Milan Jacovich Day, and the real-life Milan (far right) and his wife Lesa (second from right) joined Holly and me at the Cleveland Public Library for the festivities.
